About NERUCA
The North East Regional Urgent Care Association represents the interests of urgent care practice and policy across nine Northeast states.
The Northeast Regional Urgent Care Association (NERUCA) was founded in 2013 to represent the interests of urgent care practice and policy in the Northeast region of the United States. At inception, the association consisted of seven member practices in two states. At present, NERUCA membership includes participants in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont, representing well over 1,800 regional offices. In 2017, NERUCA joined forces with the national Urgent Care Association (UCA) as the UCA's first formally recognized regional chapter. Though it continues as a wholly independent entity, NERUCA enjoys affiliate chapter status with the UCA, allowing NERUCA members access to a nationwide organization's partnership, resources, and advocacy.
The Northeast Regional Urgent Care Association is here to represent the interests of urgent care in its member states. This need for Urgent Care Centers to have a partner organization supporting and representing their interests has become increasingly important in the face of legislative and regulatory attempts to negatively impact our practices across the Northeast.
Our Strategic Partners are businesses who wish to support the mission of NERUCA and the urgent care industry. These partners are integral to our success as an organization and as an industry.
Our Government Affairs Committee is actively monitoring and impacting the rapidly changing developments in these states and throughout our region.

NERUCA started as a handful of operators who needed a voice in their own statehouses. The chapter relationship with the national UCA came later — and on NERUCA's own terms.

2017
The UCA's first regional chapter
NERUCA joins forces with the national Urgent Care Association as its first formally recognized regional chapter — remaining a wholly independent entity while gaining affiliate access to a nationwide organization's partnership, resources, and advocacy.
