Faisal Ashraf, MD, serves as Chair of the Payor Relations Committee. A NERUCA member for 10 years and a long-time Government Affairs Committee participant, he was nominated in 2024 to re-start and lead Payor Relations in the wake of the Change Healthcare fallout. His priorities include advocating for improved reimbursement, addressing payor issues, and educating urgent care centers about IPA opportunities to strengthen members’ negotiating power and advocacy voice. He is particularly motivated to collaborate with strategic partners to benefit patients and the urgent care community.

Dr. Ashraf is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Pulse-MD Urgent Care, where he focuses on operational leadership and the delivery of high-quality, accessible on-demand care.

Outside of work, Faisal enjoys traveling with his family to explore new cultures, weekend BBQs, and hiking, often seeking out experiences in the far corners of the world.
