Elderly People Suffering Concussions, Other Brain Injuries From Falls At Unprecedented Rates, Researchers Say

 The AP (3/16, Stobbe) reports, “Elderly people are suffering concussions and other brain injuries from falls at what appear to be unprecedented rates,” researchers found in a report released March 17 by the CDC in its Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. In addition, “the report, which explored brain injuries in general...found an increase in brain injuries from suicides and suicide attempts, mainly gunshot wounds to the head.”
